Bethlehem, PA (August 13, 2014) - August 13th is a date that those behind Christian music online pioneers JesusFreakHideout.com have always held dear. It was on this day in 1996 that site creator John DiBiase launched The Jesus Freak Hideout. Since 2012, JFH has released four indie music compilations (including one all-metal mix), and the team is celebrating another JFH anniversary with an all-new collection of free music from some of their favorite indie artists.

On the website's 18th anniversary today, JesusFreakHideout.com is unveiling Songs We've Been Trying To Tell You About (And Others We Haven't), Volume Four. With Volume One and Volume Two having released in 2012, and Volume Three releasing on the site's anniversary last year, Volume Four represents many new and familiar projects and artists from the independent music scene.

Each compilation is comprised of artists that the JFH staff personally invited to be a part of the project. In most cases, it has been left up to the artist to select the song to be featured on the compilation (with a few exceptions).

Among the artists represented on Songs We've Been Trying To Tell You About (And Others We Haven't), Volume Four are Thousand Foot Krutch, Disciple, former Newsboys frontman's latest venture Peter Furler Band, Jars of Clay, Steve Taylor & The Perfect Foil, Remedy Drive, MxPx, Sarah MacIntosh, Paul Colman, The Wrecking, Justin McRoberts, Playdough, Heath McNease, HillaryJane, Andrew Osenga, Sarah Kelly, Kings Kaleidoscope, The Jellyrox (Matt Langston of Eleventyseven's side project), former Wavorly lead vocalist D.W. Stovall, We Are The Monks (featuring former Monk & Neagle vocalist Trent Monk), Chris and Gileah (featuring former BEC Recordings solo artist Chris Taylor), and many more!

Instead of just a random batch of 50 songs dumped into a zip file for listening at random, care was taken to actually give a deliberate order to the track list to create a unique listening experience. Obviously, that's not an easy task with a batch of 50 songs.

"We really think this is the best compilation we've put out yet. We set out to make it the biggest one we could in a short amount of time and we're really happy with the result," says DiBiase. "Several of the site's incredible staff pitched in ideas for who to invite to be a part of this, so we think we ended up with a pretty unique mix of indie pop, rock, and hip hop. There really is a little something for everyone."

About the artist selection, DiBiase adds, "With so many known artists leaving their labels but continuing to make great, fresh music, we want listeners to know these artists are still active -- even if they might not see their newest album on a store shelf or hear it on the radio. And, of course, we want to highlight the little-known artists that fans should keep on their radar."
