#1. Jon Foreman
The Wonderlands
Release Date: September 4 & October 23, 2015
 |
Foreman is already one of the all-time industry greats, and his warm experimental approach to his newest set of EPs is still keeping us on our toes. The Wonderlands is already halfway over, but it's all been golden from here, and it's more than deserving of our #1 spot.

Foreman's writings are always a breath of fresh air, and another set of four EPs from this accomplished singer/songwriter are more than welcomed.

Jon Foreman is one of the most compelling songwriters around; able to craft consistently thought-provoking, yet uplifting songs year after year. Whether he's going it alone or backed by Switchfoot, Foreman is an artist of unparalleled ability. So far The Wonderlands EP's have delivered everything that fans have come to expect, and more chapters are welcome.

Initially, I was a little disappointed that Jon Foreman stole the spotlight once again, but it's hard to stay disappointed with such an ambitious project as The Wonderlands. With two successful installments and two more to come, there is a lot to be excited about from this singer/songwriter.

Those who say this site loves Switchfoot too much will have a field day with this one. But what can we say? Foreman as a solo artist has both the lyricism of the band and the intimacy of a singer-songwriter. What is not to love?
