This rap album is an important one, and you will feel the full-range of emotions when listening: Shock. Sadness. Anger. Conviction. As such, it's tough to listen to often, but I posit that it is a necessary listen. Propaganda strikes that delicate balance of calling out the sin of racism, while simultaneously making sure to own his culpability with humility. On
Crooked, he puts on the persona of tenured professor, fiery prophet, and passionate preacher.
Crooked is deserving of a place in the discussion of Christian music's all-time greats.
