I was ready to write off Relient K after ditching Townsend and getting as many writers as a Beyoncé album for
Collapsible Lung, but the two Matt's made it through and completely redeemed themselves. I was always partial to goofy RK, like
Anatomy and
Two Lefts, but
Air For Free manages to bring that goofiness into a much more mature arena. The heart of RK is here, but it's a grown up version that made a really great album. Who knows if RK will ever make another album, but, if this was indeed their last, it has them going out on a really high note.

Simultaneously mature and whimsical. A real gem in the Relient K catalogue.
