But it's hard to feel like I'm winning a war when I know about the battles lost in me
How my heart can harden and my flesh may fail. My efforts falling short in word and deed
Seems this old world's running straight to hell and it looks to me the devil's got the lead

I've heard tell that they laid him low. Spent three days down deep in the grave
Then on that morning when hope was gone He rose up from the earth mighty to save
Now He's alive this very day so no matter how dark things can seem to be
