For our 6th annual Highlighting feature, we've done things a little differently. Normally, we select our top 25 most anticipated releases for the whole year, but we realize that it's tough to really gauge EVERYTHING that may release throughout a given year when we're making the list in January. So, for 2012, we've split the year into TWO pieces -- January to June and June to December. Also, we're making each list 15 artists/releases for a total of 30 in 2012.
We've already selected the first fifteen artists, so please click here to check those out. Without further ado, we give you Highlighting Second-Half 2012!

#2. Disciple
O God Save Us All
Release Date: Late 2012

These guys sure have one thing going for them: longevity. With an uncompromising message and a powerful live show, Disciple delivers time and time again. And I must say, I'm very intrigued by the desperate 2012-appropriate title, O God Save Us All...

Can they really keep it up? After close to 20 years of rocking stages, I fully expect Disciple go on forever! Very interested to see what Kevin Young and company do this time around.

Disciple has been been making solid records for several years now. Hopefully they will continue on their trend of releasing good music and give us all another rocker to enjoy. It's nice to have a band out there with a sound slightly more unique than your typical radio rock band.

For me, Disciple is a band very near and dear to my heart; they're one of the bands that got me into Christian rock. Aside from my personal biases, they have been a staple in the rock genre for years and never disappoint. With their most recent album, Horseshoes And Hand Grenades, arguably being their strongest release to date; it'll be interesting to see what these hard rockers will bring to the table on O God Save Us All.
